Heart failure has several etiologies. Atrial tachyarrhythmias with a rapid ventricular response may cause impaired left ventricular systolic function, a condition known as tachycardiomyopathy. After definitive treatment of these tachyarrhythmias using catheter ablation, total recovery of systolic function has been documented in some patients. In this publication we present the case of a patient with systolic dysfunction and a typical atrial flutter who, after catheter ablation, had full recovery of the ejection fraction in a short period of time.
